BOGOTA, Colombia - France’s external rector and President Alvaro Uribe on weekday wanted to front efforts to liberated hostages held by Colombia’s left rebels.

Neither Uribe nor Foreign Minister physiologist Kouchner commented publically on their hourlong meeting.
